ABOUT THIS BRANDWhen a lifelong athlete encounters the same skin hurdle time and time again, she handles it the only way she knows how: head-on. Anna Buss battled rosacea, hyperpigmentation, and sensitive skin her whole life. Her love and understanding of the human body gave her a unique perspective on solving her skin woes: instead of forcing the skin into submission, learn to speak its language and transform its behavior from the inside out. After years of R&D to understand how the skin works, Anna left her corporate job and founded Fitglow Beauty, a passion project-turned-high performance skincare and color cosmetics line, backed by volumes of evidence-based research.
I concur with the other reviewers who love the actual product but loathe the packaging. The packaging seems like a mockup or an unfinished project; it's bulky, nonsensical and wasteful - despite the fact that it was (presumably) designed to be less wasteful. The product itself, though, is absolutely lovely and it's actually my very first "never out" product. I have very dry, dehydrated and mature skin and it just loves this stuff. I can't get enough. But the packaging. Urgh. Please finish it, or fix it - to get a full five stars.
The first few uses I didn’t notice much. After using it for a few weeks now I absolutely love it! The packaging is a bit bulky, but the mist delivers exactly what you need. No wasting product with extra pumps that other products require to get all angles of your face. It’s a perfect light mist that you can lightly apply. I love it!
What a lovely review, Lindsey! Thank you so much for sharing and we love that you allowed this product some time to really see the results it can provide. While he outer packaging might feel a bit bulky, we just love that you can repurchase the sugarcane insert to help be a little lighter on the planet.
I got this product in the subscription box. Because I love fitglow products I was super excited. The product itself is great and makes my skin smooth and hydrated. It also has the signature candy fitglow smell. I am giving this only two stars because the packaging is incredibly wasteful. It's supposed to be eco friendly but it makes zero sense to me why we are housing plastic in extra plastic. Why not just print a design on the slim packaging of the actual product and not manufacture a bunch of cheap looking plastic cases to go over it? The plastic case doesn't even work. The product keeps falling out of the decorative plastic insert and when it isn't falling out, when I tighten the lid it makes a horrible squeaking noise. It's also large and bulky. Will not be purchasing for this reason. I hope this isn't the way the products are going.
Thank you so much for the feedback. The product is truly amazing, our Hero product. And we understand, the refillable packaging is so different. We hope you will find a way to continue to enjoy it. As always, we love hearing from you.
Oh, it pains me to write this review! I love Fitglow and have had such a positive experience with their products in the past, but this one fell short. Like a previous reviewer, I found the scent of this product to be a bit less than pleasant. It seems to be the fragrance Fitglow is moving toward for most of their "cloud" line/style products, unfortunately. It's a cloying floral-candy fragrance that almost makes you question its origin. I doesn't linger thankfully, but it's not my favorite scent at all. Then there's the packaging... yikes. I know I am supposed to swoon over its eco-friendly design but this is not doing it for me. The outer housing is a plastic monstrosity. It's huge! It reminds me of an old-school baby bottle. It's so bulky. It takes up way too much space on my shelf and is much too big to travel with. I need to decant it into... what? Another plastic container?? Take the mist bottle out of the plastic housing? How is this helpful? What's the point of the plastic housing at all? It's extremely noisy too. Every pump makes a strange rattle-thud sound. The entire product experience feels so cheap. Not the luxury experience I'm used to with Fitglow at all. I am still giving it two stars because if you can overlook the product "experience" (and I'm sure many can) the performance is satisfactory. However, with the scent, the packaging, and the price point, this will not be a re-purchase for me. I will stick with my beloved Sea Toning Mist from Fitglow and hope they don't change that packaging into... whatever this is.
Thank you for review Lauren. We're so sorry to hear this was a miss for you. Refillable packaging is so new, and it's different, and the design is pretty unusual. Great to get the feedback. The scent is completely plant based, we work with all of our brands to really understand every ingredients. We are glad you have other products you love from Fitglow. Hero On!
I usually use a product for a month before reviewing. I don't feel like this one requires a wait. I've been using it this week, and it does exactly what it says it will. My skin is hydrated, plumped, and the bakuchiol in this and the Vita Rich Cream are potent enough to deliver anti-aging results similar to those I've gotten from other bakuchiol products (it's in everything now!). I really like the idea of a refillable pump, especially when the bottle is as big and plastic-heavy as this one is (although I don't like that the cylinder rattles around inside the outer plastic housing). I will use this up, but not sure I will repurchase. I tend to prefer products that smell like essential oils and natural products, with rich earthy colors. Fitglow is aimed more at people who want skincare that is more like mainstream commercial skincare in the way it looks and smells and is packaged. This one is more floral, but they mostly smell sweet and candy-like. That's not my thing for skincare--although I'm addicted to the Lip Serums--but if it's yours, Fitglow products deliver results. I do think it is interesting, this is the first bakuchiol containing mist I've seen. Fitglow has some really great, innovative ideas.
Thank you for sharing your experience with Night Essence. We agree, skincare is a really personal experience particularly when it comes to scent- we actually love the sweet scent Night Essence provides but completely understand that it isn't a scent that resonates with you. We also love that Fitglow is working so hard on creating more sustainable packaging solutions with their refillable outer packaging initiative. Thank you again for taking the time to share your first impressions with Night Essence!
