I got my Mahalo balm as a Love More gift. The scent is fantastic--I would love a perfume that smells like this! And I love the soft texture of the balm (as opposed to balms that are hard and waxy). But I struggled a little to find a spot for it in my regular beauty routine. I prefer the Rare Indigo when I need a balm for my face. My husband and I use this to give each other back rubs--he loves the smell too. So relaxing. But I found its highest, best use after cosmetic surgery left me with large, tight, purple, bunched scars. Silicone therapy is recommended but it is hard to wear silicone sheets all day (they tug at the skin, trap body odor, and don't stay in place). I don't find the silicone gels very effective. So I tried some generous application of the Mahalo balm under a cotton bandage. I figured it had to help because, as mentioned on the Mahalo website, "This silky potion regenerates the skin from the molecular level by engaging the arsenal of anti-inflammatory Turmeric, sebum-balancing Macadamia...tissue-repairing Carrot...cell-regenerating Kukui, skin-repairing and emollient Sea Buckthorn, hydrating and scar-soothing Rosehip, skin-toning Grapeseed and humectant Beeswax." I found the overnight results very good. Not only does the balm hold in moisture (which is all that silicone does), but it also has actives to work on improving the scars. Plus, I smell incredible.
Seriously, this balm is so soothing to the skin and so little goes such a long way. I still have so much and use it weekly. Even if you store it in the refrigerator, after you scoop, it melts so easily with the warmth of your hands. I have sensitive, combination skin and it's reacted so well to this balm, especially to tame any redness. I've been reaching for this one most often for any additional nights my skin has felt dry this winter season. Oh, and the scent is subtle yet pleasant. As a member and with this sale, I may just stock up!
