I have extremely reactive skin with rosacea. I quit the prescription antibiotic cream a year ago (it just wasn't working), and I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to find something to help my skin. This cream works for me. After using 1 pump twice a day for a month, I can see visible improvement in the redness and much less reactivity. The scent isn't too strong for me, and I can't tolerate many scents. After trying several products with lots of oils and extremely heavy scents, this one has a light scent that fades almost immediately. Unfortunately the sidekick caused my skin to be more reactive. I'm happy though. Finally something that is helping.
For me, I wanted to love this product. I love the packaging. The smell is gorgeous and delightful. The feeling of my skin afterwords--- but something about it was too much for my skin. I got break outs with it, and gave it to my sister to try because she was looking for a moisturizer and I wanted it so badly to work for me. She also has reactive skin, acne prone, and eczema and her skin did fine with it. I'm not sure what the difference was since we both have pretty sensitive and reactive acne prone skin, but it was a go for her. I kept the sidekick for myself. Put the redness rescue cream on before a half-marathon and felt glowing from pre-race to finish line. I feel like that cream is better suited for my skin. So appreciated the curation of this box, even though I really wanted to smell like the cloud cream :(
I am not sure what is in this product that made me react, but it was one of the most harsh reactions I have had. I do have fairly sensitive skin, I wouldn't say VERY sensitive, but this made my cheeks and nose break out in little red bumps that took almost a week to subside completely. I tried this one more time after everything was resolved, just to be sure. Sure enough, I had to break out the full coverage again. I had no troubles with the sidekick. (shrug). I have used this on my sons dry winter cheeks and he had no issues, and the red patches he does get in the winter were resolved fairly quickly with this product.
This cream has a delightful, bouncy texture. It absorbs easily and leaves skin with a satiny texture. I find that the hydrated feeling lasts about 4-6 hours. However, the heavy, sickly-sweet smell of the product made it an instant no-go for me. I passed this on to someone else after one try. It was just too strong. The packaging is attractive, but I don't like airless pumps. They use more plastic that ends up going into the garbage, and the benefit is negligible. Also, they break pretty frequently in my experience. As for the brand name "Fitglow," I found it off-putting. I don't understand what fitness has to do with moisturizer.
