I've been using this cleanser twice daily for a few weeks and my skin feels great. My skin is on the dry side so this cleanser feels very luxurious and creamy. One pump is plenty, and while I don't wear coverup or face makeup on a daily basis, I find it does a pretty good job at removing eye makeup and my SPF moisturizer every night. So pleased with how refreshed and balanced my skin feels and am curious to see if it's as good in cold Midwestern winter weather. So far, the Ocean Cleanser is a great base for my skincare routine, and the packaging and philosophy of the brand is lovely. The scent isn't my favorite but it doesn't bother me.
I was excited to try OSEA products but this one did not work out for me at all. It was just too stripping. I had a menthol-like feeling from it. I think some people with oily skin or more robust skin could enjoy this so I passed it on to a friend who has oily, acne-prone skin. (Haven't heard back how she likes it.) But I will say this is not the kind of product I look to green beauty for. It works more like conventional-type products (which I associate with being too strong for my skin). Still interested to try other OSEA products though.
I love the Osea Ocean Milk cleanser but this regular ocean cleanser sometimes leaves my face very red. The smell is nice and the bottle is a heavy frosted glass which could be repurposed when you finish the product. I feel like I have to use quite a bit on my face to feel clean so it gets used up pretty fast. It does not break me out but it also does not remove sunscreen very well so you may have to double cleanse in the summer. Good value for the price.
I am so thrilled with this months' Osea Beauty Box. The Ocean Cleanser is a real winner for me. Lovely texture, lovely smell, the gorgeous bottle looks great in my bathroom, I can see myself buying this again. I applied the cleanser to dry skin and rinsed off in the shower. My skin felt lovely afterwards.
Gentle all-purpose cleanser in a lovely glass bottle; I really do appreciate the packaging! However, the scent is too overpowering; very candy sweet. I do have to double cleanse with this when I wear sunscreen, but it does not cause breakouts which is a huge plus!
