I have the color 2.0 and apply it using the Gressa Air Focus foundation brush. Two drops covers my face and sometimes I really have to blend this out a lot to keep it from looking too heavy for me. (For reference, I prefer light coverage and my favorite foundation is Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer in Nude.) My favorite thing about this product is that it is green skincare with pigment. My skin looked wonderful the whole time I was using this. It feels natural on and though I prefer a lighter coverage, I did not find it cakey, nor did I have problems with settling in lines or pores. Problems: 1) The shade range needs improvement. I am pink-toned and fair-to-light but 2.0 was very pink for me. I want my foundation to help neutralize the pink. Usually I will make a perfect shade by mixing two tones, but the limited shade range made this impossible. Anything lighter than 2.0 was too light. Shade 2.5 was signficantly lighter than 2.0 and ultimately was too light, and 3.0 was too yellow and dark for me to mix the two. The lack of good color match is the main reason I have nearly stopped using this. 2) The dropper bottle is extremely messy. This wouldn't stop me from using a good product, but considering the price, it should be remedied. If more shades appear in this line, I would try it again.
I was really excited about this product as I am constantly searching for a "clean" foundation that is wearable, buildable, won't irritate my highly sensitive rosacea prone skin, and that's able to even out my skin tone. On its own, this is not it. I cleaned, prepped, and moisturised - and used one or two drops to cover my entire face. It was awful. Sat in the pores, felt and looked mask-like, was totally uneven in application, even after buffing it out with a foundation brush as suggested. One star. But I came back to it and mixed it - with Khus Khus sans age serum one day, with a cream moisturiser the next - and it worked well enough for me to continue using it. Diluted, it seems to be much more even on the skin and spreads better, blurring the pores rather than highlighting them. I'll continue to use it this way, but it's not a full on perfect solution for me, unfortunately. Given that, one drop will literally cover the entire face, so it will last forever. Great value for money, and adaptable.
This foundation was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a lightweight foundation, rather than the heavy pancake makeup so common now where your face won't match the rest of your body. I have been impressed with the entire Gressa line. I am over 40, and am looking for very specific requirements in makeup: no glitter, nothing that settles into fine lines or dries the skin, and no heavy makeup. Most makeup lines seem to be made exclusively for ladies in their twenties, but Gressa is flattering for all ages. My favorite is the French style of makeup, which is more minimal and emphasizes the health of the skin over heavy makeup, and this line is perfect for that look. Shake the bottle well, and a single drop of this foundation will cover my entire face. This bottle is going to last forever. My skin tone is neutral, fair, and the 2.5 was perfect. I use the Gressa foundation brush to apply, which I love, after dabbing it on with my fingers. Although the foundation dries quickly, it can still be blended well with the brush. The coverage greatly improves and evens out my skin, without making me look heavily made up. This was exactly the natural look I was looking for - my skin, only better. I was unsure which shade was right for me, and at the price, I wanted to get it right the first time. Beauty Heroes was kind enough to send me a couple of samples, so I was able to ensure this felt right on my skin, and found the perfect shade. Excellent customer service and wonderful product.
I received a sample of the Gressa foundation recently in two shades and found that I am a neutral 2.5. It is a perfect shade match. First win! From there, I will share that the sample packet should be fully dispensed into a clean container so that you can mix it correctly before trying it. The sample packet provided me with three days worth of foundation which I appreciate so I can really try it. It takes very little to get perfect coverage. A few extra dabs where needed provides full coverage. It feels so light and completely "not there" on the skin, too. I have been using another luxe foundation that I like but can see keeping a bottle of the Gressa on hand for days when I want light coverage or less matte coverage.
Seriously. This beats out all the toxic brands out there as far as coverage and consistency. It covers well, is buildable, and just makes your skin look naturally pretty. You can use less for a more lightweight coverage or mix with SPF. Sometimes it can be a little drying but this is easily remedied by mixing a couple of drops of your favorite facial oil into it. This is seriously the jammmmmm. I live close by a store that carries this so I was able to shade match, I use a 3 and i'm relatively fair but I tan somewhat easily. I've been going through some nasty breakouts lately and I'm still getting compliments on my skin because this little weapon in a bottle hides all your boo boos. LOVE IT THANK YOU BEAUTY HEROES FOR CARRYING THIS LINE!!!
