I’m the odd one, I know. Just like everyone else, I adored the colors. They are wonderfully pigmented and feel wonderful on. For some reason I could not get these eyeshadows to last more than a few hours. I tried a few different primers, bare skin no primer, and just using a setting powder. No avail.
I bought the Bronce, Aureo, and Obscur colors and love them all. I am over 40, so I specially wanted to avoid anything too glittery or shimmering, which just looks ridiculous on me. The Bronce is a lovely, subtle bronzed brown. It looks a bit dewey without that over the top ultra shimmer in most makeup today. This line is quite different from every other cream eyeshadow that I have tried. Typically, cream eyeshadows feel a bit greasy, and will crease and migrate. Gressa eye tint feels in the pot like it was poured in there wet, and then cured to a harder consistency. It is like a cream to powder eyeshadow that does not dry your eye. That's critical. I am over 40 and live in a desert, so it's like trying to maintain moisture while living in a food dehydrator. I cannot wear anything that dries my skin. I found I prefer using the Gressa cream eye shadow brush to using my fingers. This is an incredibly densely pigmented product, and it's buildable. I typically wear the Bronce, just a single layer or perhaps two to give me a very natural looking bronzed brown wash. It does not crease. If I want a deeper color I just layer more. The Aureo is perfect for the corner of your eyes. Again, I use just a single layer for a more subtle look. This color is more subtle than most highlighter lines. The Obscur is perfect either as an eyeliner, or for mixing with other colors to darken them. The Obscur is the most pigmented of all. I swear, just a single swipe with the angle liner brush loads too much product. You have to barely touch it to the contents to get the right amount. So glad Beauty Heroes introduced me to this line. These little pots are going to last ages. I've been using them daily for weeks and they still look virtually untouched. It's important to keep my brushes clean so that these pots will stay clean, too. Also, the packaging is very high quality. I do not know what they are made of, but the pots feel like glass, and the lids open smoothly. It's quite different than the cheap plastic found with most makeup.
I got the Aureo and Obscur in the makeup discovery box. Both these colors are perfect for my medium skin tone. They go on like a dream and wear all day. I will be buying more colors in the future.
I had been interested in trying Gressa for awhile, so snapped up the Beauty Discovery box right away - and wow, the eye tints are even better than I expected! I've been wearing natural makeup for years and am so used to products that crease and migrate. These are totally unique and unlike any other eyeshadow I have tried. They are highly pigmented, go on evenly, and stay in place for the entire day. I have dark skin and thought the Aureo color might be too light, but it provides a perfect golden shimmer. I was amazed to see the Obscur works incredibly well as a gel-type eyeliner - no fading or migration... it is even better than the conventional products I used before switching. The colors blend together beautifully to provide a range from light to deep. The brush is fantastic as well - it is larger than the typical eyeshadow brushes and provides a broad sweep of color, but is also easy to use for finer application and blending. Gressa is my new favorite and I will definitely be purchasing again! Also should mention - I wear contact lenses and my eyes are very sensitive to makeup products and the eye tints do not irritate in the slightest.
Wow! I received my first Gressa products in the Beauty Heroes Makeup Discovery Box of Gressa including the eye tint colors Aureo and Obscur, as well as the cream eyeshadow brush and the lumiere fluid in Eva. When I opened the eye tint I was amazed at the look of the cream shadow, I'd heard it was amazing, but I've never seen anything to compare, it shocked me. The first time I used the shadows, after I wiped off my brush to clean it, I could not believe how much product was still packed onto my blotting paper! Holy mackerel, this product is so packed with pigment. I received the product Monday, today is Thursday, four days of applying and I'm still taking product off the blotting paper to use instead of needing to go into the pots again. I use Aureo on the top of my lids and then use Obscur on my eyebrows and as a deep, rich smoked-out liner on my top lid and more lightly on the lower lid. I am just utterly amazed. I don't know what else to say to express, what an amazing product this is. I have light blue eyes and extremely fair neutral-undertone skin, so I actually look better with cooler shades. The Aureo is like a yellowed ivory color. The Obscur is very cool deep rose brown color, it is definitely a brown. I look better in very cool light blue gray and cool pink eye shadow shades, so I might pick up Neve and Charbon next, but in any case these are spectacularly high quality eye tints. Oh yes, they last all day, until I wash them off at night, with no creasing.
