All while being a mother, attorney and entrepreneur, Jamila Powell wanted to bring awareness into the hair care industry regarding the lack of inclusivity of black representation. She wanted to ensure all voices were heard and to embrace ones curls as part of their unique hair texture. No stranger to the beauty industry, Jamila is the owner of Maggie Rose Salon, one of the top texture salons in the country. Shortly after, Jamila discovered which ingredients worked best on all hair textures when then led to Naturally Drenched, a fantastic vegan and eco-conscious brand to reach anyone with beautiful luscious curls.
