Former professional makeup artist, beauty expert and Founder of SkinOwl, Annie Tevelin, struggled with acne and skin imbalances until she went on vacation to Vietnam and discovered firsthand the remarkable benefits of mangosteen. Known by locals as the ‘queen of the fruits’, mangosteen is eaten and applied directly to the skin in indigenous beauty rituals. Skin-transformed and ingredient-enlightened, Annie returned home to Los Angeles and enrolled in a cosmetic chemistry program to pursue her quest to develop natural skincare that would achieve the results she experienced abroad.
