Abel
Founded in New Zealand in 2013 by former winemaker Frances Shoemack, Abel was born from a simple yet ambitious idea: to prove that natural fragrance could be every bit as sophisticated, nuanced, and long-lasting as conventional perfume. At a time when fine fragrance relied almost exclusively on synthetic aroma chemicals, Abel set out to redefine what modern natural perfumery could be.
Working alongside master perfumer Isaac Sinclair and biochemist Dr. Fanny Grau, Abel blends traditional perfumery with advances in biotechnology to create contemporary fragrances made exclusively with 100% natural ingredients. By incorporating innovative, low-impact biotechnology alongside upcycled botanicals and responsibly sourced natural materials, each scent is crafted with remarkable depth, complexity, and longevity.
Every Abel fragrance is thoughtfully composed to evolve beautifully on the skin, revealing unexpected layers throughout the day. With a commitment to artistry, transparency, and sustainability, Abel continues to push the boundaries of natural fragrance—creating perfumes that feel as modern as they are memorable.
