ABOUT THIS BRAND

When her brother handed her a one-way ticket to Kauai for her 21st birthday, Leah Klasovsky knew it was the perfect place to relax and reset her body, mind, and spirit. What she didn't know was that Hawaii would offer her a fresh start, opening her eyes and heart to a world of beauty and possibility she had never imagined for herself. On the night she arrived, the island air wrapped her in a tropical, balmy hug. The morning light revealed lush mountain terrain, exotic wildlife, and blooming flora. She instantly felt that this new home was her healing sanctuary, and she decided to stay. Leah's path to creating Leahlani was paved with physical breakdowns and spiritual breakthroughs, but it was her instinctive decision to enroll in a holistic Esthetics program on Maui that gave her the foundational training she needed to bottle her passion and create a name for herself.

Delightful

This is my hero oil to use in the morning. It reduces the tight, dehydrated feeling in my skin that I get in the winter - no other oil I have ever used has had this effect. I will sometimes use another oil alongside it, but it is a staple in my routine. I notice when I skip it, so I just don’t skip it any more. It’s truly a unique and effective oil. I didn’t love the smell at first, but it has grown on me and it dissipates quickly - it’s light and pleasant.

Lovely, aromatic hydration.

Aloha Ambrosia is one of those serums that feels lightweight but easily holds its moisture/hydration punch throughout the day. Even as someone with chronically dry and often dehydrated skin, I can still at times struggle with inflammation and mild congestion and don't always love the texture of a heavy cream on my face. Aloha Ambrosia seems to deliver adequate if not ample hydration that lasts well throughout the day. Because it sinks in well, I think it would layer well with other products over top, but I don't feel it is the most necessary for me. Texture-wise, this sits right in between the Khus Khus D Drop Humectant Factor and the Ingredients Face Serum, both of which I love. It has the light, waterweight feel of the Khus Khus, but the silkiness of texture and the slightly more longlasting and maybe deeper penetrating effect of the Ingredients product. So because of this hybrid, Aloha may be my number one choice of these three, but that really comes down to your own preferences and skin needs and what weight of moisture you need and like the feel of. A thing to note about Aloha is that compared to the other two serums I mentioned and just generally speaking, it is more strongly scented. The scent does disappear a few minutes after application, but as you do apply it, it is definitely enveloping. The scent is a a jasmine scent and one that is lush and dense but not too dark and leathery. Sort of a sunny take on jasmine to my nose or as if a velvety, tropical jasmine flower mixed with a men's cologne to make it not so sharp as it normally would be. I enjoy the scent, but if you are someone sensitive to scents or who doesn't like them or just doesn't like jasmine, I would pass on this. But overall, lovely, lovely product.
