ABOUT THIS BRANDActivist Raw Mānuka Honey is wildcrafted in Aotearoa, New Zealand by bees that pollinate the native Mānuka Bush during a short seasonal window in the spring and summer. Their Mānuka Honey is a beautiful and rare resource with considerably higher levels of enzymes and antibacterial properties than found in other honey. It is truly one of Mother Nature's special gifts.
Soothing mask (from a mask junkie)
I am a mask junkie and have many, many masks and continue to add to my collection. Quite a few of the ones I own are honey based, but there are other ingredients to round out the experience in terms of scent and performance. I have always scoffed a bit a using straight honey as a mask because it's just a bit too simple and not as much fun. When this one came in my monthly discovery, I was pleased (I mean, it is a mask!) but I wasn't expecting much. However, I've since used 3/4 of the tube and I'm quite happy with it. It is perfect for those times when my skin is feeling abnormally dry, had a bit too much sun exposure, or is just being otherwise overly sensitive. The scent is light and only of Manuka honey, it glides on the skin easily and doesn't pull like thicker honey masks do, and it rinses well, although I do often use a damp cloth to assist with rinse off. Though it lacks the instant wow factor many others have, it does soothe my skin nicely and it will definitely have a regular place in my mask line-up.
So glad that you gave this mask a try and have incorporated it into your routine! Thank you for sharing your experience!
Fantastic mask (from a non-lover of masks!)
I never thought of using honey on my face, but gave this a try when it came in my monthly box. I’m generally not a fan of masks — too much effort for me! Even though it’s entirely made of honey, this mask was easy to apply and spread. I left it on for 10 minutes, and it rinsed off easily. My skin looked good afterwards, and it tempered some of the pinkness in my skin. I know honey has restorative properties for your skin, and can help reduce the signs of aging. I’ll try to keep using this weekly.
