The Pa'akai Cleansing Cream by Honua Skincare is a naturally scented daily face cleanser that imparts a look of even skin tone and tightened pores, while leaving skin feeling completely refreshed. Blended with Hawaiian salt, aloalo (hibiscus) and limu (seaweed extract), this face cleansing cream cleans the skin without causing signs of irritation or dryness. For an added boost, you can add a few spritz of the Hawaiian Beauty Water to 2 full pumps of the Pa'akai Cleansing Cream and create a mask. Leave it on for 15 minutes and wash clean for a bright and healthy looking complexion.
HOW TO USE IT
Squirt 1-2 pumps of the Pa'akai Cleansing Cream in your hand and massage on to your face, add water to emulsify and rinse clean. To use as a mask, spritz some Beauty Water in 2 full pumps and leave it on 15 min once a week.INGREDIENTS

ABOUT THIS BRAND
Kapua Browning, Founder of Honua Skincare has a family lineage known for protecting the land, water and farmlands of Hawai’i. Growing up, Kapua immersed herself in the study of Hawaiian botanical skincare, becoming a licensed esthetician and instructor. She and her husband Brandon, a Hawaiian Traditional Medicine practitioner, began crafting customized oils and tinctures for their clients using native Hawaiian botanicals.
In 2016, they birthed a brand with only one given name: Honua. Pa'akai is a great balance between creamy and refreshing. At first use, I had thought it was so creamy that it would not be really that cleansing at all, and while it isn't the deepest clean I've ever had, my skin still feels surprisingly fresh after using. I could see this being a good winter cleanser option, provided one can handle the mild exfoliation that comes largely from the hibiscus in the formula. Time will tell for me. But overall my skin is seeming to like this, and I am enjoying the soft finish. This does not remove makeup all that well, though, and the cotton candy meets sweet and ever so slightly powdery rose or maybe more rose and hibiscus combo is not my absolute favorite, but I could see myself growing to love it more in time. Overall a nice experience to try.

great cleanser but can't get all the product out
I have gone thru 2 bottles of this cleanser. I love the formula. It is gentle yet effective, balances my combo-dry and hormonal acne skin. The scent is light. I love that my skin feels clean but hydrated. I took one star off because with both bottles I have to scrape the rest out. The pump starts to have difficulty pulling product as the bottle empties. I thought it was the one, but now the second one has the same issue. I have a similar issue with Malu with all the bottles (I have gone thru 3 of those and all the same issue). Despite that, I would buy again as the formula works for me. The whole line is really good for my skin and keeping it healthy.

Simple and effective
I got this cleanser as a free gift about a year ago. It is my favorite cream cleanser. It is very effective even with a small amount of product. It removes makeup without feeling harsh or irritating to my eyes. The scent is quite nice, not overpowering at all. It does not strip the skin, but if I am a little oily, I can leave it on for a few minutes (like a mask) and it leaves my skin soft and plump and without excess oil. It is what I travel with, and what I would choose if I could have only one cleanser.

Effective Quality Cleanser
The positives about this cleanser: - You get so much cleanser even if you get the smaller jar. Great value. - Again with the value. It’s more affordable than other brands without sacrificing quality. - The smell is quite lovely. - The packaging is beautiful. Negatives: - Defectuve bottle. Every time I would pump, a little would come up from the inside of the outer ring. This upset me because I wanted to keep more of this cleanser. - Preciously when I had an allergic reaction to something else, I couldn’t put on this cleanser without further irritating my skin. This is not much a negative but just wanted those with significant skin sensitivities to be aware. All around exquisite product.

Excellent cleanser and makeup remover
I received this cleansing cream as a Love More gift, and am thrilled with how it performs. I just moisten my hand, rub a few squirts into my skin, and gently massage it all over. It’s clean, refreshing, and removes all my makeup without stripping my skin. I’m a fan!
