Wanted to love it....
In my ongoing search for vegan mascara that works I stumbled across Good Lash on social media and had it on my "must try" list so when it was part of the latest beauty Beauty Heroes Discovery Box I quickly signed up. I had read reviews on other sites that fluctuated between loving it and describing it as flaky and although initially I would have put it in the "love" category (beautiful packaging, seemed to provide good coverage, length and even a little lift) by the end of the day I noticed it was flaking quite a bit. No big deal, I thought, I can just take a q-tip and tighten up the mess but instead found it almost glued to my under-eye area - when I then tried to remove the mascara with eye makeup remover it was very hard to remove, almost as if it was waterproof mascara. I'm so disappointed as I thought I had found the one but instead will be going back to my other mascara.
don't know what all the hype is about
The packaging is beautiful, and I really wanted to love this mascara. I was looking forward to trying out the cone brush shape. However, the brush comes out very dry and it's very difficult to get any product on the lashes - you have to build and build and build just to get minimal coverage. Takes too long. I was hoping for something that did not give me smudged under-eyes at the end of the day. This one did not tick that box either.
This is one of my favorite mascaras. I’ve used it for 6 months and really like it. I find that doing the coating after it dries will cause the flaking so it’s best to coat as much as you can while it’s wet on the lashes to prevent that. I’ve definitely seen an improvement in my lashes length. Not sure if it’s just the healthy eating I do or this product but i do love the ingredients in this mascara that is supposed to help grow longer lashes. The length and volume this mascara does is great!
I have to agree with some of the other reviewers here. I found the formula to be sort of dry and tought to apply. Maybe its the brush? It doesn’t glide on very smoothly for me. And to get it off...well I don’t know what you need. I’ve tried soap, water, makeup remover, facecloth. It comes off my lashes (even during wear) but it doesn’t come off my skin without a fight.
What a bummer. The wand comes out of the container a gloppy mess. It's impossible to put on without gobs on your lashes. I tried wiping off the excess with a towel but it still didn't work. Not happy at all! If I had paid full price I would have screamed.
