ABOUT THIS BRAND
Axiology was founded by Ericka Rodriguez, who combines her commitment to fruitarianism and healthier, safer cosmetics in her artisan makeup line. Ericka spent over a year testing ingredients and concocting the perfect formula for Axiology's lipstick line. The result was a product that serves kind, vivacious people everywhere who want to look glamorous while also giving back. Axiology believes in a world where using an everyday luxury like lipstick doesn't include polluting the planet, hurting its beings, or ingesting harmful chemicals through our skin.
Axiology is a member of PETA and financially supports the Orangutan Foundation to protect this endangered species and rain forests from palm deforestation. Axiology's lipstick boxes are sourced from Bali where Ericka discovered a woman-owned recycled-paper boutique. After personally witnessing all stages of production, Ericka wanted to support this sustainable business that gives local women opportunities and a healthy work environment. The paper used for each gorgeous triangular box is collected from all over the island of Bali and is taken to a small factory where it's then boiled down to a pulp, dried in the sun, and finally folded and decorated by hand. The gift inherent in these boxes is that their production helps trash reduction on the island, a growing concern as the population of Bali and popularity of the destination continues to rise.
